Federal Compliance Information Website Launched

A new Website (www.business.gov) has been launched where businesses and business managers can turn to for all their federal compliance information. Business.gov compiles information, federal forms, and agency contact information from nearly 100 government sources into a single site.

With compliance demands on businesses growing over the past decade, owners and managers can be overwhelmed. Business.gov is designed to help businesses stay in compliance with a one-stop resource for compliance information from federal agencies ranging from the Department of Agriculture to Veterans Affairs, including the Department of Energy, Environmental Protection Agency, and the Departments of Labor, Commerce, and Treasury, to name just a few partner agencies. Rather than surfing multiple sites - each with a different format - business owners and managers now have a single compliance Website from a source they can trust.

In brief:

  • Businesses will save time and money previously used searching for compliance information, federal forms, and contacts across nearly 100 federal agencies.

  • Business.gov provides keyword, industry, and topic specific compliance searches, access to federal forms, and links to compliance contacts from across the federal government.

  • Select information from state licensing and compliance agencies is also included.

  • Business.gov is managed by the U.S. Small Business Administration in a partnership with 21 federal agencies and is part of the President's Management Agenda.
