Nuremburg, Germany - A new industry trade show in Europe, called Chillventa, has been announced, and will follow an every other year format. The Chillventa Nuremburg Exhibitors Group’s first exposition will take place Oct. 15-17, 2008, and will incorporate refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, and heat pumps.
“We fully support this new exhibition [because it provides] access to key markets, a modern concept, and good future prospects,” said Friedheim Korner, general manager of Johnson Controls Systems and Services GmbH. “We welcome this opportunity for exhibitors to play their part in shaping the new Chillventa.”
The announcement came at the same time as the long-established International Trade Fair for Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Ventilation (IKK) announced plans to go to an every other, even-year format and relocate its exposition from Nuremburg to Stuttgart (Oct. 8-10, 2008). The relocation was one factor that caused a number of manufacturers to align themselves with Chillventa and its Nuremburg location.
“The direction is clear for Copeland. We are very satisfied with the Nuremburg location as are our national and international customers,” said Ulrike Esslinger, manager of communications for Copeland Europe.
The exhibition group NuremburgMesse GmbH is organizing Chillventa for the Chillventa Nuremburg Exhibitors Group, according to an announcement made to the international trade press. Gunther Beckstein, interior minister of the Free State of Bavaria, the region of Germany that includes Nuremburg, agreed to act as ‘patron’ of the Chillventa exhibition, according to the announcement.
Also participating in the organizing of the exhibit are “associations, organizations, training institutions, and numerous experts from the refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump industry,” according to the announcement.
Companies can register to exhibit by visiting www.chillventa.de/application.
