SIDNEY, Ohio - Thomas Bettcher, president and CEO of Emerson Climate Technologies, announced a number of key leadership changes to take place over the next few months. Edgar M. Bettcher, who had been business leader since 1997, will become chairman of Emerson Climate Technologies and focus primarily on strategic planning and organizational development.

“For the past 24 years, Ed Purvis has been extremely instrumental in positioning Emerson Climate Technologies as a global leader in the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration industry,” said Bettcher. “His leadership will continue to strengthen all areas of the company as the industry adapts in this ever-changing economic environment.”

Additional changes to the Emerson Climate Technologies management structure include: William T. “I am confident that these new assignments and responsibilities for our management team will continue to provide a solid foundation of leadership to enhance our strong position in the industry.” said Bettcher. “Their combined experience sends a strong leadership message about the commitment of Emerson Climate Technologies to serving our customers’ needs.”
