Xpress, a new line of copper press fittings, is designed to improve the joining process and speed up installation. This flame-free method requires no flux, solder, or other joining material. It joins the fitting to tubing by use of a pressing tool to form watertight connections. The Xpress system utilizes a pressing tool for the 1/2- to 4-inch fittings that are used in hot- and cold-water services, vented and unvented closed-circuit heating, chilled-water, and oil-free compressed air applications. It is versatile enough to be used with a variety of other manufacturers' products, states the manufacturer.
