SAN JOSE, Calif. - Echelon Corp. and LonMark® International announced the initial sponsors and speakers for the 2004 LonWorld® Exhibition and Conference, Oct. 20-21 at the Shanghai Marriott Hotel Hongqiao in Shanghai, China.

The event, to be held in conjunction with the UPnP Summit, has garnered support with sponsors from Asia, Europe, and the Americas, including Nico Technology, Samsung Electronics, TELDA, and Distech Controls. The expo has also gained the support of key government organizations, including the Shanghai Information Commission, Shanghai Construction and Management Commission, Shanghai Economic Commission, Shanghai Science and Technology Commission, and the Shanghai World Expo Bureau.

The conference will begin with a general session featuring speakers from government and industry. Scheduled speakers include Patrick Bruce, CEO of Integer House China; Cheng Dazhang, professor at Tongji University; and Dong Shouqin, international department director of Shanghai Construction Commission.
