Dec. 15, 2004: Chicagoland Sheet Metal Contractors Keep U.S. Troops Cool

CHICAGO - Members of the Chicagoland Sheet Metal Contractors Association (CSMCA) are continuing to do their part to help keep U.S. servicemen and women cool.

The association recently sent additional air conditioners to American troops in Iraq. The new air conditioners are the second shipment of 20 sent courtesy of CSMCA and the Metropolitan Chicagoland Sheet Metal Industry Fund (MCSMIF). The air conditioners will be used by Bravo Battery, based out of Macomb, Ill.

Reaction from the troops was again very positive, with a number of servicemen sending personal regards to CSMCA executive vice president Tony Adolfs.

Adolfs said CSMCA is considering donating additional units to the troops in 2005, but that dates and numbers have not yet been determined.
