  • Encompass Mechanical Services — Southeast Florida (Pompano Beach, FL), formerly AA Advance Air, Inc., is handling the $1 million air conditioning contract for the new 135,000-sq-ft Doral Costa office building in Miami, FL. The general contractor on the project is Itasca Construction Associates, Inc. (Boca Raton, FL).
  • In addition, Merritt Island Air & Heat, Inc. (Merritt Island, FL) is now part of Encompass, and will be operating under the name of Encompass Mechanical Services — Space Coast.

  • Icon Mechanical (St. Louis, MO) received an ARCO Construction Company (St. Louis, MO) “Vendor of the Year” award during a ceremony held on Feb. 8, 2001 at the Cheshire Inn in St. Louis, MO.
  • KSW, Inc. (Long Island City, NY) reports that its total revenue for the fourth quarter of 2000 was $14,481,000, an increase of 7% over the same period in 1999, when total revenue was $13,560,000. For the quarter there was a net loss of $650,000, or $0.12 per share, as opposed to a net profit of $700,000, or $0.13 per share, in 1999. Total revenues for the year 2000 were $52,548,000, a 17% increase over 1999, when total year revenue was $44,847,000. In addition, there was a net loss for 2000 of $266,000, or $0.05 per share, as compared to a net profit in 1999 of $1,367,000, or $0.25 per share. The company is a totally owned mechanical subsidiary of KSW Mechanical Services, Inc.
  • ServicePower (Annapolis, MD), a developer and supplier of field service scheduling software for the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) market, announces that Blue Dot (Sunrise, FL), a full-service provider of hvac, plumbing, and related services, has integrated the SERVICEPower software as part of an internal upgrade for its field operations.
