Contractors/Dealers for the Week: March 19, 2001

  • S.I. Goldman Company, Inc./Comfort Systems USA (Longwood, FL) will be providing hvac systems for the new Wycliffe Bible Translators office building and visitor center in Orlando, FL.
  • In addition, Goldman has coordinated in-kind services worth more than $500,000 in hvac labor and materials from its own employees, other contractors, and vendors for the Seminole Community College trades building.

  • Ray’s Plumbing Contractors (Jacksonville, FL) is now operating as Encompass Mechanical Services — North Florida.
  • Cal-Air, Inc. (Los Angeles, CA) has acquired Climatech Service Company (San Francisco, CA).
  • Four companies have joined the Blue Dot Services, Inc. (Sunrise, FL) nationwide network. The companies are:
  • — Comfort Systems (Campbell, CA);

    — Controlling Systems(Englewood, CA);

    — Air Conditioning Systems, Inc. (Clifton, NJ); and

    — Geiger Services (Wilmington, DE).

  • EMCOR Group, Inc. (Norwalk, CT) reported its fourth quarter 2000 net income totaling $14.5 million, an increase of 24.1% over 1999 results of $11.7 million. Revenues totaled $930.3 million, an increase of 9.9% over 1999’s $846.7 million. The company’s gross profit was $111.5 million, as compared to $99.3 million the previous year.

  • The McClure Company (Harrisburg, PA) was voted one of “The 100 Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania” in a recent survey conducted by the Great Places to Work Institute.
