Conference Filling Up

LAS VEGAS - The National HVACR Educators and Trainers Conference is a train-the-trainer boot camp that consists of concurrent high impact sessions. The multiple day, multiple track format offers a self directed, facilitated learning environment with sessions covering new and changing technologies, changes in federal legislation, energy efficiency, best practices, training techniques that work, and green and sustainable technologies.

The 2010 conference will be held at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas, March 14-16, 2010. The Tropicana’s convention facilities will allow a greater number of classes to be offered and further diversify the already large number of classes being offered.

The conference will provide a session on a new energy-auditing training program developed for the U.S. Department of the Interior. This session will provide information on how to integrate this course into attendees’ training programs.

There is a great deal of confusion about the Clean Air Act as it relates to refrigerants. Julius Banks, team leader and program manager for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency National Refrigerant Recycling and Emissions Reduction Program, will clarify many of the issues pertaining to Section 608 and the new refrigerants.

The conference will open on Sunday, March 14, 2010 (4-6 p.m.) with registration, industry exhibits, and complimentary drinks sponsored by Hampden Engineering. This is an opportunity to network with others, learn about new training products, and share ideas.
