According to the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating (CIPH), the program of mini trade shows has proved to be a success for exhibitors and visitors. The CIPHEX Roadshow provides a cost-effective and time-efficient way for contractors, wholesalers, government representatives, engineers, technicians, and other industry professionals to meet with manufacturers and learn about new products and technologies, said the association.
“CIPHEX Roadshows are a great and economical way to educate employees about the industry, new products, and suppliers,” said 2009 Chair Darren Jacobs with Barclay Sales, Alberta. “This year, we’ll have exhibitors from all sectors of the industry, including plumbing, hydronics, HVACR, water treatment, software, tools, and equipment. We’ve adjusted the show hours to 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. in each city, to make it easier for visitors to take a couple hours out of their day, during or after work, to attend the show.”
In addition to free registration to the exhibits, each Roadshow also includes a free seminar. The seminar in Winnipeg is “LEED for Contractors,” the seminar in Saskatoon, Regina, and Edmonton is “National Building Code 2010: Change is in the Air,” and the seminar in Vancouver is “Green Products Mean Good Business.”
The CIPHEX Roadshow is produced by the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating with support from the Thermal Environmental Comfort Association (TECA), the Canadian Water Quality Association, the Mechanical Contractors Association of Canada, and the Canadian Hydronics Council.
To register, go to www.ciphexroadshow.com. According to CIPH, registration includes free admission to the show and the seminar, free parking, and complimentary food and beverages.
