The Carrier Corp. has donated 100 window air conditioners to Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS) for use in schools with no air conditioning. Officials from IPS, Carrier, and the city joined to make the announcement at School 21, an elementary school without air conditioning.

In addition to the Indianapolis schools, Carrier has donated hundreds of air conditioners, valued at $250 each, in cities across the nation experiencing record high temperatures. The relief effort has focused on elderly and high-risk residents in eight cities: Indianapolis, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, and Raleigh, N.C.
