The company has been distributing hvac equipment in North Carolina since 1949. The 170-employee company had 1999 revenues of approximately $100 million. It will now join the Carrier Enterprises Division.
“Carrier is focused on consolidating and integrating its historical distribution base and creating a more flexible, effective, and efficient distribution channel, one that is closer to the customer,” said Don Cawley, president of the division.
The division also includes Carrier Florida, Carrier Canada, Werner’s Wholesale Group, Automatic Equipment Sales (now Carrier Mid-Atlantic, South Texas, and Oklahoma), Carleton-Stuart (now Carrier Northeast), Carrier Bock, and Climatic Southwest (now Carrier North Texas). The division anticipates 2000 sales in excess of $1 billion.
