Bush Appoints AGC Head To EPA Transition Team

WASHINGTON, DC — Stephen E. Sandherr, executive vice president and ceo of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), has been appointed to the Bush-Cheney Transition Advisory Team for the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

As a member of the committee, Sandherr will provide input and related outreach activities to the Transition Policy Coordination Groups concerning environmental issues that affect the construction industry. Sandherr said the construction industry not only plays a part in economic development, but it also an effective means of enhancing the environment.

“I look forward to providing real input on environmental issues that affect the construction industry. AGC and the Environmental Action Foundation will work together with the Transition Team to ensure that the construction industry has a voice at the table,” Sandherr said.
