Authority HVAC Joins Salt River Project's Energy Efficiency Alliance

PHOENIX - Authority HVAC, a licensed HVAC services company serving the metropolitan Phoenix area, announced that it has joined the Salt River Project’s (SRP’s) Energy Efficiency Alliance, an affiliation which will allow the company to help SLP customers improve on energy efficiency. This new alliance will promote SRP’s PowerWise™ Standard Business Solutions, which in turn promotes the purchase of high-efficiency equipment, such as HVAC equipment, motors, and variable-frequency drives, that are installed at qualifying customer facilities.

As part of this program, SRP customers can take advantage of rebates that reduce the cost of upgrading to high-efficiency HVAC equipment provided by Authority HVAC. These air conditioning replacement rebates provide savings on the cost of standard efficiency equipment and the expense of additional energy costs for the customer.

Grant Baecker, president of Authority HVAC, said, “As part of the Phoenix community and industry, we seek to assist our business customers with reducing their energy consumption as well as environmental impact. The Salt River Project partnership benefits the environment as well as the customer with lower electric bills, less downtime, and lower maintenance costs. Protecting the environment comes with essential benefits in a demanding economy.”

Whether repairs, maintenance, or equipment replacements are needed, Authority HVAC said it takes advantage of environmental incentives.

Under the SRP PowerWise Standard Business Solutions rebate program, customers receive rebates of $50 to $100 per ton depending on the unit’s energy efficiency. Air conditioners and heat pumps, chillers, and packaged terminal units are covered, with a cap of $200,000 in rebates per year in the program. Federal tax deductions are also available for customers that put energy efficiency measures in place that meet Energy Star® qualifications.
