Aug. 4, 2008: ACCA Offers Delinquent Accounts Collection Program for Contractors

ARLINGTON, Va. - Collecting on delinquent accounts is something that no one wants to have to deal with, but unfortunately, it can sometimes be a fact of life for HVACR contractors. To help its members collect delinquent accounts and get the money they’re owed, the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) has partnered with Transworld Systems, a leading profit recovery company.

The ACCA/Transworld program, called “GreenFlag Profit Recovery,” is said to be unique in its approach and has one of the highest success rates in the industry - on average 56 percent collection of all assigned balances, four times the industry average.

There are no commissions, such as traditional collection agencies charge; instead, ACCA members pay a discounted fixed fee, which averages $10 per account.

According to ACCA, the GreenFlag System is designed to work accounts earlier - when they’re more collectible. Most businesses wait too long to turn accounts over to a collection agency because they want to avoid the high cost of traditional percentage collection fees, and they fear alienating a potentially “good” customer.

GreenFlag works, says ACCA, because it offers a low, flat fee per account, and provides a diplomatic approach that both collects money and keeps the customer.

Ramon Fouse is the exclusive national account representative authorized to provide ACCA members with discounted pricing on this service. He can be reached at ramon.fouse@transworldsystems.com or 972-783-9191, ext. 23.
