Aug. 28, 2006: NEMA Releases 2006 Motors and Generators Standard

ROSSLYN, Va. - The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) has published MG 1-2006, Motors and Generators. MG 1-2006 provides more than 500 pages of manufacturing and performance data related to electric motors and generators, and is designed to assist users in the proper selection and application of motors and generators. The standard has been updated (including an improved annex) with a view toward further harmonization with the IEC 60034 series.

MG 1-2006 may be purchased for $236 at www.nema.org/stds/mg1.cfm or by contacting Global Engineering Documents at 800-854-7179 (within the U.S.), 303-397-7956 (international), or 303-397-2740 (fax).

NEMA is the trade association of the electrical manufacturing industry. Its 430 member companies manufacture products used in the generation, transmission and distribution, control, and end-use of electricity.
