ORLANDO, Fla. - ARS/Rescue Rooter, a national HVAC and plumbing services provider, announced that it has received a Golden Image Award of Distinction from the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) for the development and execution of its consumer Website/blog, Home Connect.

The FPRA Golden Image Awards competition is conducted annually to recognize outstanding public relations programs in Florida and to encourage and promote the development of public relations professionalism in the state. Winners demonstrate the best examples of innovation, planning, and design.

In mid-August 2008, ARS/Rescue Rooter launched ARS/Rescue Rooter Home Connect, an online resource center for information, answers, and interactive advice about air conditioning, heating, plumbing, and drain maintenance. Not only can consumers search for answers, they can e-mail HVAC and plumbing experts their own individual questions to be answered.

ARS/Rescue Rooter Home Connect received a Golden Image Award for meeting the standard of excellence within its category as set by a panel of judges.

“Our company focus on exceptional service led us to develop Home Connect,” said Elizabeth Young, ARS/Rescue Rooter director of marketing and customer satisfaction. “We wanted to provide more than FAQs or tips to people who have a specific problem or question, and our plumbing and HVAC staff members have really enjoyed the opportunity to assist homeowners.”
