The units utilize germicidal lamps to protect people from potentially harmful airborne contaminants by effectively destroying airborne microbes in new or existing forced-air duct systems, the company says. Desired bacteria kill rates of 80 percent for residential installation, 90 percent for commercial installation, or 98 percent for hospitals and pharmaceutical laboratories can be achieved, states the manufacturer. The units are constructed of 304 stainless steel.
