Associations For The Week: 07/22/2002

  • The Electrical Apparatus Service Association (EASA) (St. Louis, MO) has appointed its new international officers. Woodrow S. McClure Jr. of Dixie Electro Mechanical Services (Charlotte, NC) will serve as chairman of the board. Les Parsons of Arlington P/L (Inverell, New South Wales, Australia) will serve as vice chairman, and Bill Nielsen of Flanders Electric Motor Service of Illinois (Marion, IL) has been appointed as secretary-treasurer.

  • Quality Service Contractors (QSC) (Falls Church, VA) has hired Mike Maynard as a business management coach. The purpose of the new position is to help contractors implement the business management programs QSC provides its members, in addition to being a business consultant.

  • Two longtime members of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International (Washington, DC), Roberta M. McGowan and Vincent I. Olsen, have been awarded the 2002 President’s Award for their contributions to the organization.

  • The Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) (Mississauga, ON, Canada) has appointed two new staff members. Cynthia Spicer has been appointed to the position of member services representative, Inside Sales. April Gucciardo has been named as a project coordinator for the Refrigerant Management Canada (RMC) Project and the eKOCOMFORT Working Group.
