ARC Mechanical's Mike Cook Named ASHRAE Chapter VP

ARC Mechanical Contractors announced that Michael R. Cook, a Jericho, Vt., resident, has been elected to the office of vice president for the Champlain Valley Chapter (Vermont) of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) for 2009-10.

Michael Cook, a project manager and field engineer for ARC, has 26 years’ experience in the building and construction industry. He received his education at the University of Vermont and Vermont Technical College, and recently completed the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) exam in New Construction and Major Renovation.

ARC Mechanical Contractors provides HVACR, plumbing, mechanical piping, and controls for commercial, residential, institutional, industrial, and municipal buildings/facilities. In business since 1947, the company’s projects have included Dartmouth College’s Alumni Gym and Whittemore Hall, Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, Woodstock Inn, King Arthur Flour, and the Southern Vermont Recreation Center.
