Aprilaire Established as Separate Division

MADISON, Wis. - Research Products Corp., owner of manufacturing companies Dri-Steem, Econar, and HydroHeat, as well as the Aprilaire brand of indoor comfort products, recently established Aprilaire as a separate business division and named Mike McGowan as its president.

McGowan has worked at Research Products for 12 years; most recently as the COO. “Mike is a talented executive whose business acumen has contributed significantly to the company’s past successes, and we are excited for him as he takes on this important new role” said Larry Olsen, president and CEO of Research Products.

Steve Williams, previously vice president of engineering at Research Products, was appointed the chief technology officer for Research Products Corp. In this new position, Williams will ensure strategic alignment of projects and technology across the various subsidiaries and divisions.

“These changes will allow us to focus specific energies and talents on each of our business units and leverage their strengths for greater growth and efficiency,” said Olsen. “Ultimately, we believe it will help us achieve our vision to ‘Be the Partner of Choice’ with our distribution channel and this will become more evident in the months ahead.”
