The move comes as industry veteran Daniel Burke retires from the helm of the company he led for more than 20 years. In an open letter to employees, Burke touted Crick’s ability to move the company forward.
“Effective immediately, Allen Crick will assume the role of general manager,” wrote Burke. “His unique vision and high energy will serve the company well. Allen knows he can count on my support going forward.”
According to ARS, Crick has more than 12 years experience managing air conditioning companies. He was recruited by Goodrich and ARS in 2008 from Las Vegas to help Goettl return to profitability in Phoenix.
“I have profound respect for the work Dan has put into this company, and for the Goettl name,” said Crick. “Goettl remains a dependable and experienced provider of good service with good value, and an important part of Phoenix’s history. I will be focused on helping the company thrive with fantastic customer service and continued community outreach.”
Burke, who has more than 30 years experience in manufacturing and contracting, previously served as president of Goettl Air Conditioning. He was hired as president of the company in March 1989, and served in that position until he was named general manager in 2008 when the company was purchased by ARS/Rescue Rooter, a privately held, national provider of HVAC and plumbing services.
