April 24, 2008: Carrier Acquires Canadian Commercial Contractor

NEW YORK - UTC Canada Corp., a unit of United Technologies Corp., has acquired Commercial Air Services Inc., a St. Catharines, Ontario-based HVAC contractor specializing in the service and repair of commercial unitary equipment. Commercial Air will operate under the Carrier Commercial Service brand, effective immediately.

Commercial Air Services, which was incorporated in 1996 and has 22 employees, provides HVAC service in the St. Catharines/Niagara Falls area to a variety of customers, including manufacturers, schools, property management firms, and municipalities.

“We’re pleased to add Commercial Air to the Carrier Commercial Service network,” said Guy Colglazier, vice president and general manager of Carrier Commercial Service. “Their knowledge of the local market and expertise in servicing commercial unitary equipment will help us provide greater value to our customers.”

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Carrier Commercial Service provides maintenance, repair, and replacement services for HVAC systems; building controls; and energy management services and solutions products from more than 100 locations in the United States and Canada.
