New self-supporting cube and multipocket filters use high-integrity, high-loft polyester media that resists moisture, will not sag, and is extremely durable, states the company. The media has low resistance and is coated with a nondrying adhesive for optimum particle collection without sloughing, according to the manufacturer. The Uni-Cube filters have a tapered pocket design and single media layer, 20 percent to 25 percent, MERV 7. Tri-Ply Cube filters have larger fibers upstream for best depth loading and a dense, needled media downstream, says the company. The Multi-Pocket filters include VA-420 two-ply 20 percent to 25 percent, MERV 7; VA-440 three-ply 30 percent to 35 percent, MERV 8; and Syn-Pak three-ply, 35 percent to 40 percent, MERV 8.
