Air Products and Controls: Duct Smoke Detector

The RT-3000 is an outdoor duct smoke detector that has a NEMA 4X corrosive environment rating. The single-latch closure has no screws to slow the contractor down. The patented cover tether retains the one-piece cover at the unit. According to the manufacturer, the next generation of trade-dedicated no-tools terminal blocks helps HVAC, fire, and electrical installers save time and pass inspection. Compatible with building automation and fire alarm systems, the duct smoke detector is also compatible with all of the company’s legacy detectors, sample tubes, and remote accessories. The timed maintenance mode allows servicing with no extra trouble reports to the system. The operating voltages are 230, 115, or 24vac, or 24vdc. Ionization and photoelectric versions are available.
