Boss® 426 silicone compound exceeds the requirements of NSF 61 for use in potable water systems. This water-repellent sealing compound has a grease-like consistency, high tack, chemical inactivity, and dielectric properties that make it suitable for sealing or lubricating ignition components, electrical connectors, meters, appliances, and other applications where parts come in contact with water, says the company. It can also be used as a release agent and lubricant for rubber and plastic parts such as O-rings, valves, or plastic gears.
