ACCA Welcomes Over 100 Members

ARLINGTON, VA — The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) has welcomed over 100 new members since Jan. 1, 2002.

“As we begin this very important year — counting down the new federated structure of ‘One ACCA’ set to go into place in 2003 — we’re gratified to see so many contractors expressing support for ACCA by becoming part of us,” said Paul T. Stalknecht, ACCA president and ceo.

In January 2003, ACCA and its state and local affiliates will enter a new phase of their relationship under which ACCA members will belong to the organization at all levels. This restructuring plan was set in place by the ACCA board of directors and its chapter leaders in early 2001. According to the organization, this was done to ensure that contracting businesses have a strong voice and representation in their states and local communities as well as at the national level.

“We count on and strongly support our chapters,” Stalknecht said. “They provide valuable service to hvacr contractors, and we plan to make sure contractors all over the country know that, if they want to grow their business and be the best at what they do, then they need to belong to ACCA at all levels. ‘One ACCA’ means just that: one hvacr contracting industry, one ACCA.”
