ACCA Releases Video Training

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) released a new four-part computer video training series on its HVAC Quality Installation (QI) Specification. According to ACCA, “Understanding Quality Installation,” guided by instructor Jack Rise, allows contractors to make industry-approved installation the competitive differentiation they offer their customers. The self-directed training provides comprehensive instruction in an easy-to-understand manner, directing users through all of the parts with clear explanations and visual aids. It is a four-CD set that calls on examples and illustrations to break the standard down into easy-to-absorb sections and is part of the HVAC Essentials training platform, which also includes sessions on Manual D, Section 608, Manual J, Manual N, Manual Q, and HVAC basics for non-technical personnel.

“In this economic environment, consumers and business owners not only desire, but they expect good value for their financial investments,” said Paul Stalknecht, president and CEO of ACCA. “There’s never been a more perfect time than now for contractors to stand apart from the competition by offering the education and methodology of the Quality Installation program. Not only can you tell your customers what they should expect in a quality HVAC installation, but then you can actually execute it.”

ACCA’s Quality Installation Specification is an ANSI-recognized standard adopted by the Environmental Protection Agency for use in its Energy Star QI program that describes precisely the steps a contractor must take to ensure a quality HVAC installation.
