ACCA Offers Expanded Certification Manuals

ARLINGTON, VA — The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) has announced that a new, revised and expanded edition of Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification Program Manual for HVACR Technicians is now available, along with an updated Certification Instructor Manual for 608 Technician Certification.

Now in their fifth edition, these manuals include fundamentals of refrigeration, review of current regulations, and information on the newest technologies in refrigerants and recovery. The expanded course manual also covers global warming, oils, and new refrigerants, as well as sample certification exam questions.

“The instructor manual provides everything an instructor will need to prepare technicians for 608 certification. The course manual provides lesson plans, overheads, and educational resources for classroom use,” said Michael Honeycutt, ACCA’s senior vice president.

The updated manual also reflects the new partnership between ACCA and the Pennsylvania College of Technology (PCT) on technician CFC certification. Working with many of ACCA’s affiliated chapters, the association and PCT provide certification programs to help ensure hvacr technicians meet and exceed federal requirements.

For more information on the manuals or to order, call 888-290-2200 or visit www.acca.org (website).
