ACCA Begins New Technical Bulletin Series

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) released the first two in a series of new technical reference bulletins on its Web site. According to the organization, bulletins will be released on a monthly basis, and will present basic concepts in a contractor-friendly format or respond to problems and queries from the field.

The first bulletin, titled "Comfortable and Healthy Homes by Design," is designed to help contractors evaluate the performance of existing or proposed comfort systems, focusing on factors such as temperature, humidity, indoor air quality, and the metabolic activity and respiratory requirements of the occupants. The second bulletin, "Basic Principles - Residential Duct Sizing Calculations," introduces the basic principles that are associated with sizing duct runs.

The bulletins are available at www.acca.org. Access to the ACCA technical bulletin series is included in ACCA membership. Non-members cannot download the files.
