Acadiana Technical College Lafayette Granted Accreditation

Acadiana Technical College – Lafayette (La.) Campus has been granted accreditation of its HVACR program by HVAC Excellence.

To attain programmatic accreditation, HVAC Excellence reviews a program against set educational and industry standards.

In seeking accreditation, the staff at Acadiana Technical College - Lafayette Campus completed a self study evaluation of the program against set standards in: curriculum, faculty, student facilities, placement services, financial aid, advisory committee involvement, training facilities, equipment and safety. The self study once completed was sent to HVAC Excellence for its executive team to assess for compliance against each standard. Upon completion of its review, HVAC Excellence selected a group of industry veterans to visit the campus and validate the self study through an on-site evaluation.

Having reviewed the self study and evaluated the program, HVAC Excellence decided to grant a five year accreditation of the Acadiana Technical College - Lafayette Campus HVACR program.  The accreditation validated that the program is preparing students for jobs in the HVACR industry and verifies that the program has the needed resources and administrative support to accomplish its goals.
