AVENTURA, Fla. - Jack Rentz, president, Rentech Boiler Systems Inc. of Abilene, Texas, was elected by the American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA) board of directors as its chairman during the board’s annual meeting in Aventura, Fla., Jan. 14-17, 2011. Other association officers elected for two-year terms were Kevin Hoey, president, AESYS Technologies LLC of York, Pa., as ABMA vice chairman of the board; and Tom Giaier, president, Detroit Stoker Co. of Monroe, Mich., was re-elected as ABMA secretary/treasurer.

The following ABMA board members were appointed to the ABMA executive committee: Rentz; Hoey; Giaier; Scott Lewis, Chanute Manufacturing Co., a unit of Optimus Industries LLC (immediate past chairman); and Jeff Shallcross, Nationwide Boiler Inc. (chairman, ABMA Associate Members Group).
