The MEGAcel™ I filter with Helior™ media is engineered for energy-efficient operation in a variety of applications, including health care, pharmaceutical, electronic, food processing, and laboratory environments. According to the manufacturer, the Helior media is a proprietary, high-efficiency polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) media offering a lower initial pressure drop than conventional microfiberglass media. The media is extremely durable with a tensile strength eight times that of standard microfiberglass media, says the company. This provides a lower susceptibility to damage, thereby reducing repairs in production and installation, resulting in higher yields. The MEGAcel I filters are constructed using tapered aluminum separators to optimize pleat pack resistance. The filter is highly resistant to corrosive environments, therefore reducing the risk of changeouts due to filter media degradation. It withstands pressure up to 20 inches wg (5,000 Pa) and has a 99.99 percent minimum efficiency at 0.3 µm.
