ST. LOUIS — Emerson has recognized the Air Conditioning business of Emerson Climate Technologies Inc. with its 2012 Chairman’s Operational Excellence Award. This award is the company’s highest business honor, presented annually at the discretion of Emerson’s CEO. The winner is judged by independent auditor evaluations of industry leadership, strategic planning, customer focus, measurement, analysis, knowledge management, and business results.

The Air Conditioning business won the Chairman’s award based on superior performance in the evaluated categories and for delivering consistent business results in the face of a tough economic environment the past three years. David Farr, Emerson chairman and chief executive officer, visited the business’s main facility in Sidney, Ohio, to recognize the accomplishments of employees and present the award.

In addition to earning the Chairman’s Award, the Air Conditioning Business was also recently recognized with Emerson’s President’s Award for its Reynosa, Mexico Copeland Scroll™ compressor manufacturing facility based on similar objective criteria as judged within a single manufacturing facility.
