ST. LOUIS — Emerson Climate Technologies Inc. has announced the promotion of Brandy Powell to vice president of Variable Speed. In this role, Powell will be responsible for global strategy development, product line management, and new product development for Emerson’s variable speed compression technologies.

Since joining Emerson Climate Technologies in 1993, Powell has held several leadership roles within the company. Most recently, she was vice president of Residential Marketing, in which she provided leadership in evaluating the market’s future requirements and defining Emerson’s next generation compressor product programs. Powell was also instrumental in the development of CoreSense™ compressor electronics strategy and technology.
