VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Sustainability, new products, and new technologies will be the focus of the 2012 edition of the CIPHEX West trade show when it takes place in Vancouver next fall. The largest event in western Canada for plumbing, HVACR, and water treatment, CIPHEX West will be held at the Vancouver Convention Center on Nov. 7-8, 2012.

The show will feature displays from manufacturers of plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, geothermal heating, solar/hydronic combi-systems, fire protection, industrial pipe, valves and fittings, luxury bath and kitchen, as well as water treatment products from Canada, the United States, and overseas. A special Hydronics Alley section will showcase hot water heating products and technologies and a comprehensive program of technical workshops and seminars will round off the two-day event.

The show was last held in Vancouver in 1995. The members of CIPH’s BC Region petitioned the CIPH board of directors to host the biennial show and, led by their regional president Andrew Dyck, are already developing plans for new programs and promotions.

Manufacturer support for the show is evidenced by the volume of booth sales; with almost a full year to go, more than 40 percent of the exhibit hall is already booked.

The show committee is led by three CIPH BC Region members, each serving as a co-chair: Malcolm Bradbury, Tim Main, and Tim Weaver.

The Vancouver Convention Centre - West Building is a particularly appropriate location for the show. This unique state-of-the-art building has received LEED® Platinum certification. It also features a living room housing thousands of indigenous plants, which recover rainwater for irrigation; seawater heating and cooling; on-site water treatment; and fish habitat built into the foundations.
