Sundberg Kicks Off National Expansion With Opening of New Headquarters, Warehouses

CHICAGO — Sundberg, a leading provider of more than 75,000 brand name appliance and HVAC parts, announced that it is kicking off a coast-to-coast expansion initiative in Chicago with the opening of a new headquarters facility and two state-of-the-art warehouses.

Founded in 1912, Sundberg said it has invested millions in the development of two world-class, logistically centric warehouses: a 110,000-square-foot facility that shares the company’s headquarters location at 5852 W. 51st Street, as well as its first-ever warehouse operation on Chicago’s north side, at 2627 N. Western Avenue.

“For the last 100 years Sundberg has made every humanly possible effort to become the premier, service-oriented appliance and HVAC parts distributor in the country and in the minds of an extremely loyal customer following,” said Robert Burke, Sundberg chairman and CEO.

“Looking forward to the next 100 years and a very different business landscape, it is critical for the company to establish these two newest distribution sites within blocks of major interstate highways and in close proximity to Chicago’s Midway Airport and O’Hare International Airport,” Burke said. “In doing so we can continue to expedite our deliveries to customers regardless of their location, while looking forward to expanding the brick-and-mortar footprint beyond our other 20-plus parts distribution locations in Illinois and eight other states,” he added.
