Richard A. Mender of Kerrville, Texas, recently successfully passed the Certificate Member (CM) exam of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES). Mender is a member of the Hill Country Chapter of RSES.

The test is considered an especially difficult exam. Only about 25 percent of those attempting the test pass. According to RSES, CM-level members are recognized industry-wide as having achieved a superior level of HVACR knowledge. The CM exam is based on both theory and practical applications.
