The 2KR line of through-the-wall window and split series special purpose air conditioners comes in three standard capacities. The products, replacements for the 2K Series units, use R-407C refrigerant. With a nominal capacity at 95°F ambient, the units are offered in 16,000-, 22,000-, and 28,000-Btu cool only and 16,000-, 22,000-, and 28,000-Btu cool with 4-kW electric heat. Features include a thermal expansion valve, strainer drier, 10 fins per inch evaporator and condenser coils, blower motor with a stainless steel shaft, and liquid sight glass. The coils are coated with a baked-on corrosion-resistant finish, and the plumbing is painted with a corrosion-protective finish. The selector switch and thermostat are military-rated. The service ports are accessible from the front of the unit, so removing the chassis from the sleeve to service is not required.
