AKRON, Ohio - The Akron Chapter of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) recently completed free furnace inspections for 100 low-income homeowners in Summit County under the association's national program "Heat the Town."

Local chapter chairman Larry Burris said in an interview with the Akron Beacon Journal, "We discovered 36 dangerous or red-tag issues, six of which were life-endangering situations. Some people are still unaware that keeping your equipment tuned up and in good working order can actually be a life-saving technique."
