MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — The Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) notes that individuals who hold a SkillTech Academy Certification Wallet Card with an expiration date of Dec. 31, 2008 have less than four weeks left to apply for recertification. With the exception of those in the provinces of British Columbia and Ontario, all individuals who hold certification for Residential Mechanical Ventilation Installation/Design must attend a one-day Updater training session in order to extend their certification until Dec. 31, 2011. For all other SkillTech Academy training programs, there is no training requirement.

To obtain recertification, complete a Recertification Application Form and forward it to HRAI along with payment of the fee. Individuals who neglect to renew their certification wallet card before Dec. 31 will need to attend the training programs again as well as pass the corresponding exams in order to have their certification reinstated.
