FARMINGTON, Conn. — Carrier Corp. announced that it has signed a joint venture agreement with Sinostride Technology Co. Ltd., a leading extra low voltage (ELV) contractor in China serving the building automation market.

“Leveraging Sinostride’s rich experience in intelligent building projects and solid customer base with Carrier’s innovative WebCTRL® product and system solutions will benefit Chinese users with more sustainable operations,” commented David Ma, controls director, Carrier Asia HVAC.

Located in Hangzhou, Sinostride is a leading enterprise in China’s building automation industry, one of the top ELV contractors in China, and a value-added service provider of software for intelligent buildings, energy efficiency, and medical applications. Sinostride has gained recognition from such projects as the China Petro Building, Zhejiang University, Suzhou Modern Building, Chongqing International Exhibition Center, and Kunming International Airport.

“We are honored to have such a committed partner as Carrier,” said Jiang Dong, president, Sinostride Technology Co. Ltd. “This cooperation marks a significant point in our progress toward creating energy efficient green buildings in China.”

“Expanding on Carrier's joint venture with Maingate in Beijing last year, our investment in Sinostride is another significant step that allows Carrier to further its presence in China’s building automation market,” said Ross Shuster, president, Carrier Asia. “Aligned with Carrier’s global sustainability strategy, this investment demonstrates Carrier’s continued confidence and long-term commitment in the China market.”

“Our joint venture with Sinostride is another step in solidifying Carrier as a global leader in services and solutions for the green building marketplace,” said John Mandyck, Carrier’s vice president for Sustainability & Environmental Strategies and an international advisor to China’s Green Building Council. “For nearly 20 years, Carrier has been incorporating sustainability into our products and operations. We are harnessing that expertise with partners like Sinostride to offer innovative energy management, building automation, and green building design services.”
