The office is designed to further the interests of AHRI’s members and certification program participants by enhancing relationships with manufacturers and governmental and nongovernmental organizations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The advance shows practical pathways for designing paints that, if used on rooftops and other parts of a building, could significantly reduce cooling costs beyond what standard white ‘cool-roof’ paints can achieve.
The researchers took an alternative approach by using adversarial training, in which the model produces physically realistic details by observing entire fields at a time, providing high-resolution climate data at a much faster rate.
Up to $10 million is available for state, local, and tribal governments in competition to validate innovative building technologies for commercial buildings and the public sector.
