Although a lot of details are still to come, wholesaler group HARDI likes a number of ideas included in the tax plan the White House introduced Wednesday.

The association announced that it has hired management consultant Guitze Messina to head the new operation, and he has the experience and contacts necessary to make the foray into Mexico's HVAC market a success, HARDI said.

HARDI has booked three keynote speakers for the Dec. 2-5 event at the Aria hotel-casino in Las Vegas.

Taco owner and executive Chairman John Hazen White Jr. called on the HVAC industry to help residents in the hard-hit regions.

Mahesh Ramanujam, president and CEO of the U.S. Green Building Council, which presents the Nov. 8-10 sustainability conference, said the association is excited to hear his message.
