 Commercial HVAC contractors have a chance to win golf and camping gear as part of a Tecumseh Products Co. promotion. 

Thermostat Recycling Corp. and the Heating Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Distributors International are holding the Big Man on Plant competition to see which members can collect the most thermostats. 

 The manufacturing space will used to make cross-linked polyethylene tubing for plumbing, fire sprinkler and radiant HVAC systems.

 Total housing starts increased 7 percent for the month, mostly on the strength of a 31.1 percent spike in multifamily housing.
