The Associated General Contractors of America says it hopes the president’s ideas lead to a bipartisan conversation about the nation’s crumbling roads, bridges and highways.

Garner, North Carolina-based Hamlin Sheet Metal was founded in 1954 by William F. “Fred” Hamlin to manufacture commercial air-handling ductwork.  Hamlin Sheet Metal became the first division of the Hamlin Cos., which now includes Hamlin Roofing, Hamlin Fabricated Metals and Ultratech Industries.

A San Jose, California-based company won an award for its commitment to the contractor organization the Unified Group.
