For the first time since it was founded in 1942, National Association of Home Builders will endorse candidates before the Nov. 8 elections.

“We worked very hard to craft this standard in a manner that does not stifle innovation in the data center industry while simultaneously offering criteria to help ensure energy savings,” said Ron Jarnagin, chairman of the committee that wrote the standard. 

The event, which runs through Friday, features events designed to encourage more females to enter the industry. 

Attendees of the live courses on design, installation and maintenance of hydronic and steam systems qualify for green HVAC certification credits, officials said. 

The event will start at Town Square Las Vegas, an open-air mall at the far south end of the Las Vegas Strip. 

Two-thirds of the 1,459 member companies surveyed by the AGC say they are having trouble finding workers to fill hourly positions, despite adjusting pay and benefits.

The show will take place March 1-3 at the Mandalay Bay convention center in Las Vegas. Show officials said they have arranged special deals through housing provider onPeak.
