Infinitum has introduced its latest innovation at the AHR Expo: the Aircore Heavy Duty motor system. Designed to meet the rigorous demands of HVAC fan and pump applications, this new motor aims to enhance efficiency while minimizing environmental impact.

The Aircore Heavy Duty motor is engineered to handle heavy loads with up to 25% more efficiency compared to conventional solutions. It boasts a compact form, being 50% lighter and 60% shorter, which facilitates its integration into existing systems. This design not only reduces energy consumption but also decreases emissions, noise, and waste.

Ben Schuler, founder and CEO of Infinitum, emphasized the significance of this innovation: “Our new Aircore Heavy Duty brings our award-winning motor system design to the world’s highest-emitting HVAC fan and pump applications, including those that are increasingly used to cool data centers handling AI workloads.”

Notably, this motor features a rugged exterior, which enhances its reliability in harsh environments, such as outdoor and wet settings. Its adaptability to various applications is further supported by a wide range of power, bearing, shaft, and frame sizes.

Blake Griffin from Interact Analysis remarked, “With its newest Aircore Heavy Duty model, Infinitum is continuing to serve the larger sustainability picture. The motor appears well suited to improve overall system efficiency while addressing broader electrical infrastructure concerns.”

Infinitum's innovation lies in its air-core motor technology, which replaces traditional copper-wound iron stators with a lightweight, printed circuit board (PCB) stator. This change significantly reduces the use of copper and iron, making the motor 10 times more reliable and quieter. Manufactured in a sustainable facility, these motors are designed for longevity, with components that can be remanufactured and reused.

Headquartered in Austin, Texas, Infinitum is led by industry experts focused on creating motors that are not only efficient but also environmentally conscious. Their products are crafted to be smaller, lighter, and quieter, aligning with the global push for sustainable solutions in technology. By reducing the carbon footprint associated with traditional motors, Infinitum is paving the way for a more sustainable future.
