AABC to Host Webinar to Improve Air Change Projects

Webinar equips technicians with the knowledge and skills they need to overcome common problems

For professionals involved in air change projects, navigating the complexities of coordination, construction, and maintenance can be a daunting task. Even with years of experience, unexpected issues can arise that threaten the efficiency and accuracy of these critical projects.

Recognizing this challenge, the Associated Air Balance Council (AABC) announced a new webinar scheduled for Dec. 4 to equip technicians with the knowledge and skills they need to overcome common problems and enhance overall project performance.

The webinar will be led by Jeff Keene, a distinguished professional in the HVAC and building commissioning industry. As a General Partner at Delta-T, Ltd., Keene brings an extensive career that began in 1994 and has been a cornerstone of the company's growth and success. His dedication and leadership culminated in his becoming a principal of Delta-T in 2013. Jeff's expertise, which he established during his time at the University of Central Florida, makes him the ideal presenter to provide real-world solutions to the issues that frequently plague air change projects.

By attending, participants will gain a deeper understanding of how to effectively manage coordination, address typical construction problems, and ensure accurate and efficient reporting. The goal is to empower technicians with the expertise needed to handle challenges head-on, ultimately improving the success of their air change projects.

"Duct leakage is something that has been a concern for decades. There have been many studies on the issue," Keene concluded. "Engineers and building owners alike understand the importance of limiting duct leakage. Unit leakage on the other hand is a fairly new concern and one that is fostering more recognition. We are seeing more engineers and owners wanting field verification of leakage and deflection to prove the unit meets the manufactures leakage and deflection rates."
