CoolSys appoints new VP of corporate development

Coolsys
April 18, 2019

CoolSys™ has promoted Karan Aggarwal to vice president of corporate development from his former role as director of mergers and acquisitions.  In his new position, Aggarwal will be responsible for directing all aspects of the company’s “buy and build” strategy.

“Since joining CoolSys, Karan has been instrumental in executing our growth strategy, and has helped drive the acquisition and integration of seven businesses into the CoolSys family of companies,” said Adam Coffey, CEO and president of CoolSys.  “He has been a tremendous asset to our executive team and to our company as a whole. We are pleased and extremely fortunate that Karan is taking on this expanded role to help guide our future M&A activity.”

A certified public accountant, Aggarwal joined CoolSys in November 2016 as director of mergers and acquisitions. In this role, he has been responsible for developing a pipeline of strategic acquisition targets, facilitating the buying process, and driving the integration and onboarding of newly acquired firms. Prior to joining CoolSys, he worked at the global accounting firm RSM US, LLP in their transaction advisory services division where he led the financial due-diligence process for more than 60 buy-side and sell-side deals in a range of industry sectors.

Aggawal graduated from University of Southern California (USC) with a dual degree in accounting from the Leventhal School of Accounting and in business law from the Marshall School of Business.

“With my promotion, I’m looking forward to working with the executive team to achieve our aggressive growth and expansion objectives with an accelerated acquisition strategy as our primary focus,” said Aggawal. “CoolSys has tremendous growth potential and it’s exciting to be part of the leadership team as it enters a new phase of expansion.”
